What shipped, and when
Every change to this site, the free invoice generators and the GST guides, newest first. Fixes are listed as plainly as features — if something was wrong, you can read what it was and when it stopped being wrong. Changes inside the app itself aren't all listed here yet.
- Fixed a GST error in the free export invoice generator: switching from the India form to the foreign-client form carried “Place of supply: India” — and rupees — onto the export invoice. It now clears the India-only fields, so the place of supply is the client's country, as an export of services requires.
- New trust page at /trust — the founder, the registered entity, where your data is stored, every sub-processor named, what we protect it with, and a written commitment for what happens if Mavoin ever shuts down.
- This changelog, backfilled to the first public version of the site.
- The trial button now reads as a single string to crawlers and screen readers. Its two responsive labels used to run together — “Start 30-day trial” immediately followed by a second “Trial” — for anything reading the page without applying CSS.
- Removed the point-in-time-recovery and tested-restore claims from the security page. They hadn't been verified against the actual database plan, and an unverified backup promise is the wrong thing to have in writing — /trust now states the position plainly instead.
- Added a risk-reversal summary to /pricing: what you pay, what you get back, and what happens if you leave, above the fold instead of buried in policy pages.
- Search overhaul: page titles and descriptions reworked so the homepage stops competing with /pricing, /about and the Claude guide for the same queries.
- Breadcrumbs across the site, and a named author byline on every blog post — statutory writing shouldn't be anonymous.
- Added a Mavoin vs Vyapar comparison.
- New guide: GST on commission from a foreign client after the Section 13(8)(b) omission — when an intermediary service is an export and when it isn't.
- New guide: reverse charge and self-invoicing on foreign SaaS subscriptions.
- Fixed trial links inside blog posts that 404'd after the app moved to its own domain.
- Added heatmaps on the marketing site to find the pages that confuse people. Disclosed on the privacy page; it runs on this site only, never in the app.
- Launched the free GST and export invoice generators at /tools — complete PDFs, no signup, no watermark, no cap on downloads.
- New guide: your first foreign payment — inward remittance, FX rates and tax.
- New guide: GST on advance payments, and when you need a receipt voucher.
- Made the site readable by AI assistants directly: a Markdown view of every page for agents that ask for it, discovery headers pointing at the MCP endpoint, and content signals that allow assistants to answer from the site but not train on it.
- Rewrote the homepage around what Mavoin actually is — GST-correct India invoices and multi-currency foreign ones — instead of generic invoicing copy.
- Shipped the Connect-to-Claude guide at /invoicing-in-claude: raise an invoice by asking, with the tax logic staying inside Mavoin rather than in the model.
- New guide: SAC codes for Indian freelancers.
- New guide: how to file an LUT for export of services (Form GST RFD-11).
- Fixed the invoice preview overflowing horizontally on phones.
- Moved production data to Supabase's Mumbai region (ap-south-1) so customer invoice data is stored inside India.
- Named the registered entity behind Mavoin in the footer and as the contracting party in the terms.
- Signed the founder note with a real name and a public profile, instead of an anonymous “we”.
- Pricing now shows that paid tiers include 18% GST, and which payment methods are accepted.
- Re-checked every competitor price on the comparison pages against the vendors' own pricing, and corrected the ones that had drifted.
- Added the /compare and /alternatives pages — honest comparisons, including where the other tool is the better pick.
- Settled the site on a single canonical domain.
- First public version of mavoin.com.
